Our Story

Bringing restoration through the Gospel

Reconcile Brooklyn is a community church in central Brooklyn with a commitment to the whole Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our journey as a church began in 2014 in Crown Heights as a member of the Trinity Grace Church family of neighborhood churches. In May of 2018, we embarked on a new journey to reimagine our identity as a community of believers reconciled by Christ and our unique purpose to join God’s mission of reconciliation in Brooklyn.

Our why

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:17-19

This verse gives us the foundation of who we are in our relationship with God and what the root of our partnership with God is. Our relationship with God is marked by Christ reconciling us. Our partnership with God is marked by our involvement in seeing others reconciled to God.
We have purposed as a church to see our community fully living as God's reconciled people.

We live that out by helping people do 3 main things:

Cory Morgan

Lead Pastor

Cory Morgan was born and raised in NYC and has lived in just about every borough: South Bronx, L.E.S. Manhattan, Ridgewood Queens, and now in Brooklyn. His ministry leadership journey began with this request: “God, whatever you’re doing in this city, please don’t do it without me.” God led him to a small Hispanic storefront church where he led the youth ministry for a couple of years. He later served at Christ Tabernacle in the youth ministry, worship ministry, and finished his season there overseeing the worship for their Spanish congregation. Cory is currently finishing his Masters of Biblical Studies at Reformed Theological Seminary.
Cory and his wife Keyla, who oversees the kids ministry and leads worship time to time, have been married since 2014, and have one son, Jael Wayne Morgan.
Cory, Keyla and her sisters, were contestants on the game show Family Feud. Watch Here to relive this hilarious moment when Steve Harvey couldn’t resist taking shots at Cory.
